Red R, 8:45-11:00
Damp, chilly, drizzly November morning
Sun tries to peek
Only few leaves left
Trees – pale orangey-peach, vibrating in the Wind
Slick rocks on orange leaf-covered trails
Rushing creek with leaf littered rocks
Feet soaked with every creek crossing
Bright greens of moss, pale lichen greens and greens of ferns pop against the pale oranges, browns and tans of the forest
White-tailed deer leaps over the trail
Mushroom shelf firm on deep brown trunk of fern-surrounded downed tree
Rain starts pouring – from forest through Prairie to Forest
Shower lifts the scent from the Prairie – sweeter than ever
Wind and rain in the Prairie
Deep dark chocolate tree trunks, rusty oranges, hay yellows and greens
Dripping branches
Rain and wind enliven the forest, birds continue to chat
Majestic arches of silvery sparkling branches
Trees seem to rejoice when the Sun breaks through the clouds
Prism dripping trees
Sun now brightens the forest, blue sky with big puffy white clouds
