Cool, damp morning
Geese and ducks busy fishing and standing their ground
Soft, wet, muddy trails
Hat muffles bird calls, amplifies footsteps
Deep contemplation
Gorgeous bright blue jay swoops past
Always ever-amazed at the number of trees that fall into their neighbor’s “arms”
Love the sound of the words “Good Morning” from passers on the trail
Soothing, steady creek sounds with each and every Crossing
Prairie – calm and quiet
Red-bellied woodpecker shrills between deep knocks
Red-headed woodpecker cackles back
And Downy woodpecker with a different type of gargle-trill
Ferns thrive on Hillsides
Green Mossy rocks along creek ridge
Scent of damp limestone rock rises
Refocus, realign
