Fresh, drippy, overcast morning
Dense greens filled with dense fragrances
Chipmunks scurry and bound through leaves and over trails
Drops fall on umbrella leaves
Slender, delicate, black dragonflies
Creek flows steadily over clay, fossils and rocks
Daffodil greens have fully yellowed, flattened, succumbed to nurture in new forest floor growth
Intoxicating mix of lovely forest scents: floral, herbal, mineral, fungal, damp Earth, fresh green growth, decaying wood
Lively Eastern Towhee with its bright, strong song
Prairie filled with spider web buckets
So much new growth and flowers pushing up from the Prairie floor
Back in forest with deep, dark, damp soil
Teeny tiny little mushroom umbrellas
Mating Chrysopilus with stunning bronze metallic-orange backpacks
Trail-stopping gorgeous fragrance of Japanese Honeysuckle
So lush and green with so much new growth
Thankful for Richie on this incredible day
