Greeted by sparkling water, purple martin song and goose chatter
Such fresh sweet lovely scents fill 4SE
Tall lovely purple and white moth mullein flowers and fragrant sweet clover lining the southern banks
Hawk circles and scatters purple martins from their homes
Green heron couple flies high over trees of 1SE
Hawk (or juvenile eagle?) surveys 1SE
So much green from banks smears the waters
Frog castanets sing in 1N
Turtles rise for sips of sun
Goose feathers float and shine on water’s surface
Jumping fish slaps the water
So many gorgeous, intoxicating scents
Paddling on breathtakingly bejeweled water
Tiniest turtle ever peeks up
Enormous black dragonfly is back, with its copper and black striped wings
Water rising – all measuring landmarks submerged except the very tip of the tree
-cormorant branches, measuring ledge, tire, drainage pipe – all “gone”
White butterflies dance on white daisies
Kingfisher dives and catches a fish
Bullfrog call reverberates
Inspiring morning
