Unfurling Queen Anne’s Lace

7/24/2022, GV, land L, 9:05-10:40

Filled with bird song and rhythmic cicada rounds
Unfurling Queen Anne’s Lace
New green soft thistle, standing tall and ready to flower
Bees and flying ants(?) Enlivened by the delicately crowning, flowering
thistle
Water gleaming, sparkling, vibrating, beckoning
Tiniest frog (distal phalanx-sized) hopping across the trail to safety in the grass
Yellow and black butterflies, tiny blue ones, little yellow ones and white ones fluttering
Back pond sparkling, fish jumping
Grasshoppers helicoptering away to avoid my step
Black-eyed Susans, Queen Anne’s Lace and new thistle standing tall along the trail
Shimmery waving “aspen” leaves
Vultures circling high
Yellow finch crossing path
Dew-jeweled prisms in the grass
Velvety black and blue butterfly lands on Queen Anne’s lace pillow
Gorgeous morning filled with sound
Gentle breezes, sparkles and energy
