Beautiful bright morning
Leaf and acorn-covered trails
Chirping birds, clucking squirrels, rustlings in leaves
Leaves, stuck on rocks, slow the creek
Golden light brightens barren trees
Still soft greens, yellows and oranges remain; occasional pops of red
Soft orange-coated hillside
Illuminated mosses
Glistening threads among branches
Wind whooshes leaves and drops acorns
Green ferns push through orange-brown fallen leaves
Sweet earthy scent of decomposing plants emanates from below
Busy woodpecker gently knocks
Still ever-breathtaking when forest opens up into prairie
Prairie with soft browns, tans, greens, and roses
Descension back into lovely forest, chittering birds
Mushroom shelves catch leaves
Entwining, twisting vines
Red Oriental Bittersweet berries call for attention
Breathtaking pink-red-scarlet of burning bush
Such awe and beauty
