Cloud-Smeared Surface

12/2/2023, water L, 82u-v, 10:15-12:00

Wind: 5mph from W
OC: 6+/7

Steely gray-blue cloud-covered sky
Barren trees and sunken water levels
Traversing longer distances on land to bring board into 1
OG sandbar in 1N now a wall – taller than me standing on SUP
-Can no longer see over to the other side
1NW exposed branch: Rib 7
Silvery sparkles when the Sun breaks through
No more leaves on the trees:
-Only red berries leaving rosy hue within the gray-browns
1S ledge: up to greater trochanter
Such a sweet, sweet scent in the cove of 1NE
Kingfisher sits on exposed tip of branch, then machine-guns away upon approach
Clouds beautifully smear the surface
Beavers still building in 3NE
Large white gulls still here; float and take turns circling, surveying the lake
Gorgeous flock of American Coots: black and white signals in the water
Always in awe of such beauty and peace
