Crazy dense fog
Unseasonably warm, wet morning
Lake almost swallowed by the fog
Still coated with thick ice from recent frigid temps
Orange shows itself amid the greys
Geese call from behind the shrouded backdrop
Mercury drips linger perfectly on branch tips
Silver spider threads stream, connecting trees
Dreamy, misty goose apparitions stand on iced lake
Wood chips left under beaver-chewed trunks
Geese in flight appear from a mirage then dissolve just as quickly
Mesmerizing bejeweled branches
So many birds lifting and darting from bush to bush
Tiny silver beads line thin spider threads
In awe by this mercury-laden, enchanted, cloud-swaddled preserve
