Golden rays sparkle waters
Geese call in the distance
Reflected emerald green on water
Water’s surface thick with pollen and down
Gliding mallard kazoos past
Vultures circle above
Speckled yellow flowers mirrored in water’s edge
Shadowed paddlefish darts beneath
Falcon soars and lands in shore tree
Quiet watchful geese, nod heads in caution – seem to be guarding, but no sign of babies
Geese then fly honking over to 4SE island – as if warning
Silver-grey pollened edges of 4SW
My kookaburra flies over with his bright orange yellow feet
More curious today, flying slightly ahead from bank to bank
Stands and watches – then joined by another!
Birds resounding
Thankful for Richie on this glorious day!
