Illuminated green canopy
Dead logs feeding, filled with life
Summer cicadas now fill the backdrop
Ferns – ecstatic, stand at attention
Vibrant new mosses
Velvety peach mushrooms and teeny tiny white ones
Contrast from forest to prairie never ceases to stun
Prairie burgeoning with life
Emerging bergamot, berries, soft flowers and grasses
Deliberate tangles of forest vines
Lush new growth revels in balmy humidity
So much gorgeous growth
