Soft, bright green covers the Forest floor
Daffodils, violets and buttercups
Glossy sheen of new green leaves
Woods alive with rustling branches, chirps and squawks and scampering over rocks
Shiny, vibrant branches eagerly sunning to prep for leaves
Geometric ice patterns chiseled between creek rocks
Prairie grass swishes and continues to drink up water
Sweetest scent of mud, Earth and minerals rises
Birds quietly investigate, hopping from branch to brush
Muddy trails from melted snow
Forest floor alive with sound
Surrounded by beauty, yet still distracted
Soaking in all of this radiant energy to mend a broken heart
