Gorgeous, cool, golden-sunned morning
Lovely sweet scents linger on the surface
Hint of yellow in trees on banks
Water levels have dropped at least 1-2 feet
-Newly emerged tip of Island in 1S
-OG sandbar rising
-Branch in 1N starting to peek
-Islands return in the shallows of 4SE
Purple martins soar and dive in 1
Vultures take turns devouring deer on the bank
-They line the banks and wait in trees
-They grunt and police each other for each to get their fill
-Another flock awaits, circling above
Turtles slowly rise to surface
Golden sun gleams up from water
Light yellows in trees smear into surface
Sparkled splashes of jumping fish
Geese’ve departed, leaving downy-coated surface
3 separate monarchs fly Westerly over lake
One falls into water (but was saved!)
Wind picks up and ruffles waters
Great blue heron stands regally on submerged island
Little snake slides over water
Shadows of paddlefish closer to the surface
Visiting Snowy White Egret
Geese return to rest from morning flight
Peace, vibrance, beauty, life
