Red Fuzzy Sporophyte Hues

3/3/2024, red R, 9:30-12:00

Beautiful spring morning – not the only one with the idea of coming today!
Dew-covered buttercups
Daffodils pushing up their leaves, but not yet flowering
Green shiny leaves of buttercups fill crevices of limestone steps and edges of trails
Tufted tit”mice” sing happy songs from every tree
Gentle creek sounds surround
Birds of every kind sing and ring out throughout the forest
Geotropic daffodils push up through roots of fallen tree
Red fuzzy sporophyte hues top green mossed trunks
Vibrant energy from prairie ground below, soaking in nourishment and getting ready to burst
New lovely scents
Back in the forest, the faintest of green kisses the forest floor
Oh my God, the sporophytes
Two Coopers Hawks chat (or flirt!) with each other
So many new scents in each different section of the trail
Breezes rustle branches and stir fallen leaves
Massive energy percolates from below
