Soft surface glazed with goose feathers and pollen
Loveliest, sweetest scent lifts up from the grasses
Trees mirrored in water’s edge
Greens, yellows, soft oranges smeared into surface
Sun gleams up from the smooth water
Turtles slowly drift up to puncture through and sip some air
Steam rises from cool water
Great White Egret – still visiting
Struts along banks in search of fish
Beaver in 1N dives from bank lodge hole into water
At least two beavers working on new construction
Cormorant couple spread wings on perch
More monarchs flying Westerly
No sign of geese today
Crickets and grasshoppers vibrate the banks
Such peacefulness and beauty
