Sun peeping out on Mike Patton’s birthday
Tree trunks reach for each other, creaking and screeching
Wind rustling leaves and vibrating branches
Surrounded by shades of light greys, light browns and carpeted pale oranges
The color purple emerges unexpectedly
Momentary slowing of majestic rustling gives occasional sonar glimpses of birdsong
Slick muddy snow-melted trails
Bluest of brilliant bluebirds gather along the valley of “green trail” (at least seven!)
Vibrant greens of mosses quietly compel attention
Shimmering creek in the valley below
Sun blues the gray sky and brightens the trees
White birches make themselves known amidst the greys and browns
Lovely scent of wet rocks
Subtle blue green in the gray of the clay creek walls
A few green daffodil leaf tips and a few tiny buttercup buds trying to peek out…no, no – it’s too soon!
