Lovely sound of steady rain on leafed umbrellas
Birds sing in appreciation of the rain
Green somehow always greener on cloudy, rainy days
Daddy long legs cross the trail
Scents of blooming multiflora roses, honeysuckle and lovely petrichor fill the air
Mist cradles Forest
Rain darkens trunks, brightens greens
No more evidence of pink helicopters on trail; now covered in flower petals
Complicated, yet specific vine-laid mazes
Vines wrap around to support fallen trees and reinforce weak ones
Yellow Lesser Celandine carpet giving way to new growth
Forest floor exploding with new greens and fresh scents
Soft fuzzy delicate Virginia Waterleaf
Indigo bunting sweetly sing back and forth to each other
Opening of prairie bursting with enormous variety of gorgeous birdsongs
Misty Prairie continues to Green
Prairie soaks in every lovely raindrop
Spider web bowls amid grasses catch raindrops, too
Sun attempts to shine through soft raindrops
Chipmunks jump to and from little nooks and crannies
